Glass Museum Passau

Consisting of 30,000 exhibits it embraces the history of bohemian glass art from 1700 to 1950. You find everything, from baroque to the modern, in the “world’s most beautiful glass house” (Friedrich Dürrenmatt).

Museum of the Treasure of the Cathedral and the Diocese

The museum in the New Bishop’s Residence shows the treasures of Passau’s past when it was the largest diocese of the Holy Roman Empire. The rococo stairways are worth while seeing.

Passau Town Hall

The representative baroque festival hall is worth while seeing. Colossal-paintings to The Song of the Nibelungs and the history of Passau (local artist: Ferdinand Wagner around 1890)

Pilgrimage Church "Mariahilf"

High above the quarter named "Innstadt" there is the baroque monastery church which used to be an important pilgrimage church. As a reminder of those times, there are still the pilgrimage stairs with 321 steps. From up there you have a nice view down to the so-called "Italian side" of Passau.
