The Three Rivers Panoramic Tour

Come with us to our favorite places on Passau's 3 rivers. We will take you into the untouched nature along the Ilz, show you technical masterpieces along the Danube and discover extraordinary old town panoramas along the Inn.

During the 2-hour round trip, our city guide invites you to take a short optional walk at each of the stops. And if you get a hankering for a drink after so many rivers, you can look forward to a little surprise at the end.

Exploring the Bavarian Forest with Ilztalbahn

Every weekend from May to mid-October, you can enjoy a train journey into the Bavarian Forest with the Ilztalbahn, which is run by a team of volunteers.

Along the route, you have a great view over a wild and romantic area, pass right through rocky passages and discover a fantastic river panorama. This is certainly one of the most scenic railroad lines in Germany. From the stations along the route, you can explore various hiking trails, with options for every fitness level. A trip to the Lusen National Park Center or the beautiful old city of Waldkirchen is also possible by train.

Groups of 10 people or more receive a 20% discount on the ticket price if booked in advance.

Special Events on Board of the Ilztalbahn

We regularly organize wine tours and craft beer tours on our unique railroad line with local cooperation partners. Our guests are guided through the tasty excursion by our experts and receive information about cultivation, grape varieties and production.

We also regularly organize a special day for our youngest passengers with discounted tickets, a prize draw and exclusive impressions on the train (teddy bear trips).
