On the trail of knights: Castle adventures
The Fortress Veste Oberhaus guarantees adventures within centuries-old walls. Kids can stroll around to their heart’s content in the spacious castle complex they can discover hidden corners and hear about exciting stories in the museum.
Watch the stars: Through big telescopes, you can watch the moon – fun for young and old. The astronomical observatory is located on the „Neuwall“. It opens every Wednesday evening (when the sky is clear). www.sternwarte-passau.de
Admire rivers and trees from the viewpoint linde battery: As the names says, on the viewpoint linde battery you stand under old lime (Linde) trees with gnarled trunks. Look over the old defensive walls and enjoy the best view of the confluence of Passau’s three rivers Donau, Inn and Ilz.

Once upon a time in ancient Rome
Take your family on a time travel in the Roman Museum Kastell Boiotro. Admire old stonewalls on the outside. On the inside, there is an exhibition with lots of digital media like a virtual reconstruction of the military and civilian sites at Passau. Use the free audio guide or go on a guided tour to learn about the daily life of people in ancient Rome.
DON’T MISS the playground nearby: – the equipment is simulated to a Roman camp.

Boat Cruises: Unforgettable moments
Take your family on a boat trip. Join a three rivers sightseeing tour from the waterside. Get close to the confluence of the three rivers and admire the different water colors. Or go on board of the crystal ship where about one million Swarovski crystals are sparkling and make kids eyes shine. Enjoy a 2 hour cruise in the Danube valley.

River Inn Promenade
The beautiful old town scenery on the one side, the green water of the river Inn on the other side, combined with shady chestnut trees: The playground on the river Inn promenade is located perfectly.
Here you find: Play ship, climbing forest, tree house.
Ortspitze
Where three rivers meet, children can play to the heart’s content. Parents enjoy a sit on a bench with stunning views.
Here you find: Wooden swing "bird’s nest", double swing, sandbox, climbing frame, slides, climbing net, rope bridge, ropeway, carousel.
Theme playground Bschütt-Park
Bathing- and slide raft, pendular swing shaped like a fishing rod, trampoline as swimming pool, standpipe and much more.

Football, street ball, beach-volleyball, boule field, table tennis, rope playground.
When the weather is bad: Visit the indoor playground Babalu Funpark. Kids can have fun with slides, climbing facilities, ball pools, bouncy castles, trampolines and much more (for children up to 14 years).
Family fun in the water park peb
Fun for kids and parents is guaranteed in the water park “peb“ (“Passauer Erlebnisbad“, district Kohlbruck). There are big swimming pools and children’s pools on the inside as well as on the outside.
In summer, brave ones check out diving towers and slides. Thanks to shady trees, you can spend the whole day on the big sunbathing area.
