This journey through centuries starts there where millers used to produce flour for the daily bread on their shipmills. The hike up to Mariahilf is rewarded with a spectacular view over Passau, St. Stephan´s cathedral, the three rivers and the fortress Veste Oberhaus.
Sometimes we can even see the Bavarian Forest. Have you ever listened to the humming of bees in a 100-year-Avenue of Lindentrees or smelled the sweetness of their blossoms? The Lindent(h)al leads us back to the former city walls which used to protect the city.
We´ll pass the former Roman Castle Boiotro (border between two Roman provinces 2000 years ago) and the workplaces of medieval craftsmen on winding alleys back to the central square of the Innstadt.
