People with disabilities or limited mobility can variously experience Passau. In numerous facilities, accessibility is a given, toilets that are handicapped accessible are well distributed within the city centre.

Unfortunately, the historic centre and the topographic location of Passau also has some limits. Because of their historic structure, some sights are only providing limited access for wheelchair users (e.g. due to cobblestone, stairs, narrow alleys, buildings that are not wheelchair accessible). The topography of the Altstadt is unfortunately also not always wheelchair-friendly.
