Seagulls are one of the most favourite photo motifs here. These city residents fly around in swarms and give your photo a special liveliness. The view from the Inn’s promenade towards the east ranks at number 3 of the #passaufotospots.
The scene is colourful: The pastel-coloured pink portal of St. Michael’s church dominates the left side of the picture. If you choose a broader motif, you will also capture the Innstadt with its green river bank and the densely built houses. And in between the Inn river that shows a magnificent emerald green colour on most days. The Marienbrücke cuts through the scene right in the middle.
Tips for the perfect photo:
- Light: The more the sun shifts downstream, the nicer the view. Houses and water are perfectly illuminated especially on the late afternoons. (Click here to see the sun’s course during the day)
- Bird action: Capture seagulls and ducks around the “Mahnmal für die Opfer des Nationalsozialismus”, the Memorial for the Victims of the National Socialism. Many of these animals linger around here and stretch their wings flying around.
- Near the water: Along the Inn’s promenade, numerous steps lead down to the river. Use the water’s vicinity to take remarkable pictures.
